Woman’s Life Info
By Charlotte Cushman | September 6, 2010
From Claudia Gay:
Another season of Woman’s Life will be underway soon, and I extend a hearty welcome to you!
If you haven’t already registered you still may do so in the Atrium on Wednesday morning.
Feel free to call Claudia (525-0089) or e-mail (cbcwomanslife@gmail.com) with any questions! Any questions about the Children’s Ministry may be directed to Evelyn Owens @ 521-5026 or cbcevelyn@gmail.com
PARKING: The rear parking lot is your closest parking lot. Please be aware of little ones as you enter and leave the lot! There will be signs directing you to “check-in/registration” in the Atrium.
CHECK-IN/REGISTRATION: We ask that you enter & check-in at the counter in the Atrium each Woman’s life morning. The counter will be staffed at 9:00 am. There you can pick up announcements, the handout for the mornings lesson as well as a name tag. There is a suggested donation of 5$ per session to help offset the costs of the ministry.
TITUS GROUPS: The ladies at the counter will be glad to help you select a Titus Group if you haven’t yet. We have two groups specifically for moms & babies; Marlit Stansell & Colleen Dralle. Those groups are geared toward moms who need to have their children with them. Also new this year is a group for high school and college age women led by Mary Beth Griz. If you do not get a chance to select a group, you can come to the café after teaching time and I will be glad to help you then.
CAFÉ: The World Missions Café is open from 10:30-11:00. Coffee, juice and light snacks are available.
SCHEDULE:
Check-in: 9:00-9:30 : Atrium
Welcome & Teaching: Main auditorium; 9:30-10:30.
Coffee break; 10:30-11:00: World Mission Café.
Titus Fellowships 11:00 –noon: Various rooms-see check in counter in the Atrium (or the announcement page) for room #’s.
CHILDREN: the nursery/Kids life program begins at 9:15…you may bring your children to the children’s building at that time. It may be easier for you to drop your children off first then head to the Atrium. There will be greeters in the hallways to direct you to the classrooms.
PPFC: Children participating in the Presidential Fitness program may be brought to the Pavilion. PLEASE have your permission slips filled out before you bring your children…if you haven’t done so they are available in the atrium on the counter.
If you arrive after 9:30, please join the women in the auditorium for teaching so you won’t miss anything! You can register and/or get assigned a Titus Group during the coffee break in the cafe!

By Charlotte Cushman | September 6, 2010
From Evelyn Owens:
Hey Ladies,
Most of you know KidsLife starts up this coming Wed. If you would like to go ahead and get one of your service dates out of the way, I can still use 3 to 4 more volunteers. (All moms participating are asked to help 2 times out of the 13 meetings) Just e-mail me if you are willing and available. cbcevelyn@gmail.com Thanks for your help.

Presidential Reminder
By Charlotte Cushman | September 4, 2010
From Terry Beach:
Just a reminder that Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge will be starting again this Wednesday, September 8 at 9:30. You can drop your kids off between 9:10 and 9:25. If you or your kids want to help set up we will be there by 8:45. Leaders and helpers please try to be there no later then 9:15. Please don’t forget to fill out your permission slip and bring it on Sunday, Tuesday night to the CBCCA meeting at 7:00 or on Wednesday morning before we start PPFC. We will be demonstrating proper technique of each catogory. The kids will get a chance to practice but it will not count this week! We will begin testing on Wednesday, September 22 and each week we meet for PPFC. Parents, leaders and helpers please read your pamphlet to remind yourself how to properly do each exercise or you can go to www.indiana.edu/~preschal to download the information. We can still use some help during Presidential if you will be available the 2nd and the 4th Wednesday each month. Please remember to remind your children the guidelines for coming to PPFC. All guidelines are in the letter to the parents and they must be followed.
The children are asked to stay with their leader at all times and not wander around the children or main building except the skating rink and in the areas designated for Presidential if there is a leader in those areas. Drinks and a snack will be given to your children at break time. There should be no children eating in the Mission Cafe. The Mission Cafe is for the women, Leaders, helpers, teens and teen helpers attending Women’s Life or helping in the nursery, Kids Life and Presidential. You may use the bathroom in the skate house but are asked not to bother the other classes in the building or stay in the kitchen. You may use the bathrooms in the children’s building only with permission from your leader while your group is at the running course.
We did have a few problems with some teens wandering off away from their group and their leaders last year and eating food in the Mission Cafe. Some of the women’s group and children’s classes in Kids Life were distracted. Please eat no later then an hour before PPFC and wear proper attire and shoes to exercise each time we meet. CDs of Audrey’s teaching can be picked up in the Atrium for those who help with PPFC. We will see you this Wednesday! Leaders and helpers if you can not make it because something has come up please email mail me by Tueday night. I will check my email early Wednesday morning. You can also call me on my cell if you can not make it because of sickness or emergency at the last minute.
Thanks,
Terry

Girls Class update Kids Life
By Charlotte Cushman | September 2, 2010
From Evelyn Owens:
4th-8th grade girls will have two options at KidsLife this year during the 2nd half of the morning (10:45-12:00). Home Economics and Apologetics Science will be offered. However, if a girl chooses Home Economics she must do so by the 2nd meeting date which is Sept. 22. Girls entering the KidsLife program after Sept 22 will need to attend the Apologetics Science class.
The Home Economics class will be for girls who are committing to attending each time as we will need to have certain materials ready for each class and we must know how many supplies to purchase. Girls may also be asked to bring some supplies on occasion to help with the cost of the program as we are not asking for any registration fee this year for KidsLife.
If a girl comes in after Sept. 22 and someone drops out we will open that place up for new girls. If you cannot attend before Sept. 22 but plan on coming the rest of the year, be sure and reserve a spot by e-mailing cbcevelyn@gmail.com.
